I'm a composer/sound artist/improviser based in Winona Minnesota. I like to work with systems that I don't have much control over & stick microphones onto computers, trumpets, trombones, and various resonant objects.

Since 2011 I've been developing a computer music system called Pippi, and since 2013 a live-coding frontend for it called Astrid.

I work for WFMU fixing leaks in the fundraising system.

linden flower infusion recipe

Took a very fun class on herbal medicine at the coop today. Our teacher brought this amazing linden flower drink for us to sample, and shared the recipe. She suggested a book by Richo Cech called Making Plant Medicine for details of the process, but she shared the basic recipe too:

2 cups flower 2 cups honey 1 gallon water A lemon or lime

Heat the flower at 90 degrees for 48 hours] -- our teacher said she uses a bread proofer at home, but a slow cooker seems like the more common method?

I'd like to try making this! It was so good. I feel like I chilled out a bit just sampling a little bit too, one of the uses of linden flower is for treating anxiety/restlessness.

She brought a very nice nettle tea, too and some dried nettles for us to take home. Fun class! First event they've hosted at the coop since the pandemic, I hope there are more.

linden flower infusion recipe

@erik I enjoy simple linden flower tea, no sweetener needed. they have to be harvested at the right time though, wait too long and they taste too green
